Privacy Policy
CSDesk is installed on your own office network, so your firm’s client and compliance data stays on infrastructure you control - not ours. This page explains exactly what that means, including the one place CSDesk does talk to an outside service: sending reminder emails through your firm’s own connected Gmail account.
What CSDesk is
CSDesk is practice-management software for Company Secretary firms - tracking entities, annual filings, DSC custody, and recurring compliance tasks. It runs as software installed on your own PC or office server, not as a service hosted by us.
Your firm’s data
Every company, director, task, and filing record your firm enters is stored in a database on your own machine or office network. We do not host, receive, back up, or have access to this data - it never reaches a CSDesk server, because there isn’t one in this flow. Backups, if you set them up, go to a folder you choose (for example your own Google Drive), never to us.
Software updates
CSDesk can check for new versions by contacting our update server. That request includes only the currently installed version number - never any business data, file contents, or personal information from your firm.
Gmail integration
A firm’s Partner/Admin can optionally connect a Gmail account so CSDesk can send automated compliance-deadline reminder emails (for example, an upcoming ROC filing due date) on the firm’s behalf, from the firm’s own mailbox.
- CSDesk requests only the
gmail.sendpermission - it cannot read, view, search, or otherwise access anything already in the connected mailbox. - The only data retained is an OAuth refresh token, used solely to authenticate outgoing reminder emails on behalf of the connecting firm.
- This access is never shared with, or used on behalf of, any third party.
- Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account Permissions, or by disconnecting Gmail from within CSDesk’s Firm Settings page.
CSDesk’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no tracking or analytics that identify you personally, and no selling or sharing of data with third parties for their own purposes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
